Report of the Steering Committee on Village and Small Industries and Food Processing Industries for the Tenth Five Year Plan (2002-2007)

Abstract

The Planning Commission had set up various Working Groups covering various sectors of the economy for the 10th Plan. The constitution of the working groups included the concerned Ministries/Departments dealing with the particular sector, experts, organisations, PSUs, NGOs, etc. The working groups had formed various sub-groups to focus upon the related sectors/sub-sectors to look into respective aspects related with the growth and development of the sector/sub-sector in accordance with the target of growth of the whole economy at 8 per cent during the 10th Plan.
