Abstract

The developmental efforts over the years, while Yielding sizeable dividends, have left some areas and Sections of population only marginally affected. The G&B are the two sections of the State population who Have not been benefitted to the desired extent during the past many years of Planned Development. Their backwardness is the result of a number of factors chief amongst which-are their migratory habits, conservation Traditional social values and above ail the extent to which they are encountered, where their they are settled by a hostile agro-climatic environment. The problem of improvement of their lot is, therefore, essentially a Composite and complex of social and economic factors.
