Abstract
The developments of Manipur lag behind due to lack of communication, .particularly in the hill areas. Since the integration of the State with the Union of India and till the end of 1971 the progress of development on roan communication has been very slow compared with other Sister too. No plan-development aimed at economic self-reliance and removal of regional disparities could not be undertaken, specially in the hill areas as the same are to be preceded with the development of communication. The allocation f Plan-Funds for road Communication during the previous plan-periods.
