dc.description.abstract	The Mid Term Appraisal presents a detailed assessment of the performance of the economy as a whole as well as an assessment of performance in individual sectors in comparison with the Tenth Plan targets. The picture emerging from the appraisal is mixed. The economy is doing well in many areas and these gains need to be consolidated but there are also important weaknesses, which, if not corrected could undermine even the current performance level.
