Abstract
Mizoram was one of the district in Assam. During these days, the earstwhile District used to get Plan out-lay from Assam in the form of Annual Bdget grants, and even each grants could not be utilised due to disturbed condition, and many other problems. With the conversion of the district into a new Union Territory since 21st January, 1972, Mizoram have joined the mainstream of National life and could avail the benefit of the Plan out-lay from the last part of the Fourth Five Year Plan.
