Abstract

The Integrated Rural Development Programme is bring implemented in all the development blocks of the. J&K State as per the guidelines of the Government of India. The IRDP aims at providing direct assistance to the individual beneficial of the rural poor. The benefit of the Programme is meant for poorest amongst the poor. The main objective of the Programme is to provide assistance and guidance for taking up income generating schemes to the rural poor to enable him to attain higher income. And better standard of living. The Programmes of general benefit to be discouraged . The DRDA have been provided fund for subsidy component of the Programmes and the loan for the schemes to be undertaken by the individual beneficiaries will be provided by the Banks.
