Revised Second Five Year Plan Himachal Pradesh Vol III

Abstract

Himachal Pradesh is quite rich in resources and raw Materials for industrial development. In the first Five Year Plan Attention was mainly devoted to the technical training of artisans for the development of Cottage Industries. For the sake of the prosperity of the State, instead of exporting the raw materials as such the same should be processed to finished goods and sold in the market. In this way greater employment will be provided to the people and greater the employment greater the prosperity.
